\nNarrated Abu Huraira:\n \n\nThe Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The saying 'Sub Han Allah' is for men and clapping is for women." (If something \nhappens in the prayer, the men can invite the attention of the Imam by saying "Sub Han Allah". And \nwomen, by clapping their hands).\n

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏\n"‏ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ ‏"‏‏.‏
