\nNarrated `Abdullah bin `Amr:\n \n\nAllah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever has (the following) four characteristics will be a pure hypocrite: "If he \nspeaks, he tells a lie; if he gives a promise, he breaks it, if he makes a covenant he proves treacherous; \nand if he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent evil insulting manner (unjust). And whoever has \none of these characteristics, has one characteristic of a hypocrite, unless he gives it us."\n

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏\n"‏ أَرْبَعُ خِلاَلٍ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ كَانَ مُنَافِقًا خَالِصًا مَنْ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، وَإِذَا عَاهَدَ غَدَرَ وَإِذَا خَاصَمَ فَجَرَ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ حَتَّى يَدَعَهَا ‏"‏‏.‏
