Narrated `Ali: We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) in a funeral proce ion at Baqi Al-Gharqad. He aid, "There i none of you but ha hi place written for him in Paradi e or in the Hell- Fire." They aid, "O Allah' Apo tle! Shall we depend (on thi fact and give up work)?" He aid, "Carry on doing (good deed ), for every body will find it ea y to do (what will lead him to hi de tined place)." Then he recited: 'A for him who give (in charity) and keep hi duty to Allah, and believe in the Be t reward from Allah (i.e. Allah will compen ate him for what he will pend in Allah' way). So, We will make mooth for him the path of ea e. But he who i a greedy mi er....for him, the path for evil.' (92.5-10)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ فِي جَنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ كُتِبَ مَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلاَ نَتَّكِلُ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ اعْمَلُوا فَكُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ ‏"‏‏.‏ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ‏{‏فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى * وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى‏}‏ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ ‏{‏لِلْعُسْرَى‏}‏
