حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِهِمَا ‏.‏
