\n\n \nYahya related to me from Malik from AIqama ibn Abi AIqama from\nhis mother that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him\nand grant him peace, said, "Abu Jahm ibn Hudhayfa gave the Messenger\nof Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a fine striped\ngarment from Syria and he did the prayer in it. When he had finished\nhe said, 'Give this garment back to Abu Jahm. I lookedat its stripes\nin the prayer and they almost distracted me.' "\n\n

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ أَهْدَى أَبُو جَهْمِ بْنُ حُذَيْفَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمِيصَةً شَامِيَّةً لَهَا عَلَمٌ فَشَهِدَ فِيهَا الصَّلاَةَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ ‏\n"‏ رُدِّي هَذِهِ الْخَمِيصَةَ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْمٍ فَإِنِّي نَظَرْتُ إِلَى عَلَمِهَا فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَكَادَ يَفْتِنُنِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏
