\nNarrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab:\n \n\nWhen Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan came to Medina for the last time, he delivered a sermon before us. \nHe took out a tuft of hair and said, "I never thought that someone other than the Jews would do such a \nthing (i.e. use false hair). The Prophet (ﷺ) named such a practice, 'Az-Zur' (i.e. falsehood)," meaning the \nuse of false hair.\n

\nحَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ قَدِمَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الْمَدِينَةَ آخِرَ قَدْمَةٍ قَدِمَهَا، فَخَطَبَنَا فَأَخْرَجَ كُبَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا غَيْرَ الْيَهُودِ، وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَمَّاهُ الزُّورَ ـ يَعْنِي الْوِصَالَ فِي الشَّعَرِ‏.‏ تَابَعَهُ غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ‏.‏
