\nNarrated Ibn `Umar:\n \n\nDuring the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) we used to avoid chatting leisurely and freely with our wives lest \nsome Divine inspiration might be revealed concerning us. But when the Prophet (ﷺ) had died, we started \nchatting leisurely and freely (with them).\n

\nحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَّقِي الْكَلاَمَ وَالاِنْبِسَاطَ إِلَى نِسَائِنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَيْبَةَ أَنْ يُنْزَلَ فِينَا شَىْءٌ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَكَلَّمْنَا وَانْبَسَطْنَا‏.‏
