\n\n \nYahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that when Abdullah ibn\nUmar used to do ghusl for major ritual impurity he would begin by\npouring water on his right hand and washing it. Then, in order, he\nwould wash his genitals, rinse his mouth, snuff water in and out of\nhis nose, wash his face and splash his eyes with water. Then he would\nwash his right arm and then his left, and after that he would wash his\nhead. He would finish by having a complete wash and pouring water all\nover himself.\n\n

\nوَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى فَغَسَلَهَا ثُمَّ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَنَضَحَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ وَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ ‏.‏
