Narrated Ibn `Abba : Thur day! And how great that Thur day wa ! The ailment of Allah' Me enger (ﷺ) became wor e (on Thur day) and he aid, fetch me omething o that I may write to you omething after which you will never go a tray." The people (pre ent there) differed in thi matter, and it wa not right to differ before a prophet. Some aid, "What i wrong with him ? (Do you think ) he i deliriou ( eriou ly ill)? A k him ( to under tand hi tate )." So they went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and a ked him again. The Prophet (ﷺ) aid, "Leave me, for my pre ent tate i better than what you call me for." Then he ordered them to do three thing . He aid, "Turn the pagan out of the 'Arabian Penin ula; re pect and give gift to the foreign delegation a you have een me dealing with them." (Sa`id bin Jubair, the ub-narrator aid that Ibn `Abba kept quiet a reward the third order, or he aid, "I forgot it.") (See Hadith No. 116 Vol. 1)

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمُ الْخَمِيسِ وَمَا يَوْمُ الْخَمِيسِ اشْتَدَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَجَعُهُ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ ائْتُونِي أَكْتُبْ لَكُمْ كِتَابًا لَنْ تَضِلُّوا بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا ‏"‏‏.‏ فَتَنَازَعُوا، وَلاَ يَنْبَغِي عِنْدَ نَبِيٍّ تَنَازُعٌ، فَقَالُوا مَا شَأْنُهُ أَهَجَرَ اسْتَفْهِمُوهُ فَذَهَبُوا يَرُدُّونَ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ دَعُونِي فَالَّذِي أَنَا فِيهِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا تَدْعُونِي إِلَيْهِ ‏"‏‏.‏ وَأَوْصَاهُمْ بِثَلاَثٍ قَالَ ‏"‏ أَخْرِجُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ، وَأَجِيزُوا الْوَفْدَ بِنَحْوِ مَا كُنْتُ أُجِيزُهُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏ وَسَكَتَ عَنِ الثَّالِثَةِ، أَوْ قَالَ فَنَسِيتُهَا‏.‏
